The ADA Therapeutic Package
Our package of therapeutic interventions can include a cross-section of approaches, disciplines, theories and philosophies in the construction of a therapeutic plan for your child. This can include:
- Systematic Desensitization (e.g., "inoculating" a child to arousing situations that can be triggers for difficulties)
- Family and individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Real-time therapeutic feedback about our day-to-day and moment-to-moment interactions with others
- Social Development Curricula, Counseling & Peer-Connections
- Instruction & therapies aimed at promoting "Theory of Mind" (e.g., understanding 1st, 2nd and 3rd person perspective)
- Understanding anxiety and how to manage anxiety-provoking situations
- Learning theory instruction including Applied Behavior Analysis, Classical Conditioning, Familiarization-Novelty methods & Modeling protocols & procedures
- Varieties of Speech & Language interventions (e.g., teaching about "Figurative Language" like idioms, slang and other hard-to-understand social language)
- Verbal Behavior programs to promote the early stages of language acquisition
- Rehearsal of social language
- Individual, small or large group instruction
- Developing and supporting School Inclusion
- Consultation about appropriate school placement
- Home- and community-based instruction
- "Parenting" hard to raise children
- Informational instruction about the horizon of intervention methods proposed to be used with our clients
