Clinical Staff
Behavioral Technician/Mentor

1) Clinical Staff

ADA Therapy, LLC HIRING: Licensed Psychologists, Mental Health Specialists, BCBA's

  • Based in Fairfield and New Milford Connecticut and Fairfield County
  • Part-time (8-hours weekly or more, but with room to grow to full-time))
  • Expertise in children (5-to-18 years old) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Licensed, license eligible or Certified in Connecticut:
    • Licensed Psychologist (including School Psychologist if LPC eligible)
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Marriage & Family Counselor

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of in-home & community programs for children on the Autism Spectrum (approximately 5- to 18-years of age)
  • Use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavior Therapies (CBT) and/or Psycho-educational therapies (e.g., social development instruction)
  • Training & supervision of “Mentor” para-professional staff
  • Family Therapy (Behavioral & CBT) and “parenting” supports
  • Promoting and programming for daily living skills instruction (e.g., personal care, homework skills, community activities, etc.)
  • Development and implementation of positive reinforcement plans
  • Demonstrating and teach staff and family how to “set limits” on challenging behavior
  • “Incidental therapy” during chores, homework, daily living & social activities
  • Participation in school meetings
  • Data collection, information management, report writing and communications with all relevant parties involved with the client
  • Preference will be given to individuals training in some form of Physical Management Techniques (PMT, SUPPORT, CPI, PMAB, PEACE techniques)
Our ideal staff person (i) understands and experienced in child development; (ii) knows how to set limits and use rewards; (iii) is comfortable in a teaching role with the client-child, parents and staff; and (iv) is comfortable in the role of therapist, not just a “behaviorist.”

Hiring Behavior Technicians or Experienced School Para-Professionals in
Fairfield and New Milford, CT areas!

ADA Therapy, Inc. is a Psychology/Educational private practice located in Fairfield, CT, serving the broader Fairfield County area. Our principal activities are providing in-home and community-based services for children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. We promote behavioral, developmental, educational and family services to help children develop to their highest potential.

We are seeking part- and full-time employees (called “behavioral technicians,” or “Mentors”) to work in the greater Fairfield and New Milford, CT areas. We are looking for highly professional individuals experienced working with children on the Autism Spectrum, and their families. Tasks would include implementing behavioral and educational interventions, trips into the community, assistance with chores, activities of daily living, school-related activities (e.g., homework), socializing with other children, as well as serving as a role model of appropriate behavior. The employee will need to have flexible hours and his/her own transportation. Services are offered on weekdays after school, evenings, and weekends, with each staff person indicating their own availability.

We are looking for candidates who have a high school diploma or higher educational degrees or certifications, with a minimum of 2-years or more of experience working with behaviorally troubled children on the Autism Spectrum. Your experience could be as a para-professional in school settings, or as a Behavioral Technician, or other staff experienced with this population in other settings. Pay ranges from $20 to $27 per hour based on experience and skills.
